Mineral make up question.

Question

So, i'm planning to buy bare minerals when i go to the mall, but i also would like to know if there is any cheaper brands i could get but works just as good as bare minerals??

Being a makeup artist I can tell you from past experience (over a year of using bare escentuals) save yourself the money and get a different brand. I at first liked bare escentuals, I used it on my clientele and found it was far to shiny *greasy looking in photos and after a few hours of wear, there were also many complaints of a dry itchy feeling and a few that came down with rashes, this was due to the fact bare escentuals uses a CHEAP filler mineral called bismuth oxychloride, it is well known to cause a itchy dry feeling, some allergic reactions and acne. They also use PARABEAN preservatives in their mineral veil and use cheap cheap cornstarch. I found a company that I have now been using for over 2 years on myself (daily) and my clientele. It is called Faerie Organic Minerals http://www.faerieorganic.com I cannot recommend this company enough as it has amazing products. I chose them because of their ingredients and am glad I did. Their mineral makeup goes on much more smoothly than bare escentuals, covers better and lasts longer. It still leaves that healthy glow (without leaving you cakey and powdery like other mineral makeup brands). I was happy to see they used Boron Nitride instead of bismuth oxychloride. (Boron nitride is a much more expensive mineral, due to the fact it is a face perfector and is antibacterial-helps acne) boron nitride is used in the high end brands such as Jane Iredale, yet the best thing is they are more affordable than BARE ESCENTUALS! My clientele loves it, and most important, I love it. They have a sample kit on their site for FREE (you just pay the shippng-like $5.99). I would highly recommend you do this before forking out the big bucks for bare escentuals and being dissapointed. Good luck!
