I haven't tried the higher end mineral makeup, but loreal bare naturale makeup offers alot of coverage. Maybelline mineral power offers light coverage. I hear bare essentuals has really good coverage, maybe give that or loreal a try.

I am a professional makeup artist and I do a lot of high end events such as photo shoots, weddings etc.,. It is my job to make people look flawless. I deal with all different skin types including some pretty sever cases of acne. I would say stay away from bare escentuals, they use bismuth oxychloride which can really aggravate your skin causing a itchy dry feeling that can cause rashes. I personally use a Natural/Organic company called Faerie Organic Minerals. They are the best I have used. Their makeup not only covers amazing but also leaves a dewy glow instead of a powdery cakey look (which is so unappealing). Their concealer covers the worst case of acne I have had to deal with and the photos turned out great. Do NOT go with drugstore brands they are loaded with chemicals that can cause acne and lead to further irritation and they leave a powdery look. You want to look natural, have your makeup cover well but match your face. I recommend going with yellow/golden under toned colors as they hide imperfections better.
