Minglers Jaguar determined to score in the Grade OR Betfred.com Sprint Trophy Final at Nottingham
Minglers Jaguar will race as a favourite in the Grade OR Betfred.com Sprint Trophy Final at Nottingham, which will take place today, 9th April, at 21:22 GMT, with six hounds competing over 305 metres for a purse worth £400.
With odds of 9 to 4, it is expected that Minglers Jaguar would leave Tictac Diamond, Corleones Dondon, Gold Finch, Rathanny Kate, and Glengall Flash, behind, to bag another race.
Minglers Jaguar, son of Duke Special, out of Minglers View, has high hopes pinned to him.
He prevailed in the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Sprint Trophy at Nottingham on 19th March, 2012.
He entered the race with the status of a favourite with odds of 2 to 1.
With his swift pace, he defeated, Vedfield Solid, by 1 length in 18.19 seconds.
He suffered a slight setback, as he finished sixth in the Grade OR Coral On TV Standard Trophy - Heat 3 at Romford on 26th March, 2012.
He completed the 400 metre track in 24.93 seconds compared to the winner, Nans Turbo, whose winning time was 23.95 seconds.
He soon redeemed himself in his next start as he finished second in the Grade OR Betfred.com Sprint Trophy - Heat 3 at Nottingham, on 2nd April, 2012.
He raced as a favourite with odds of 2 to 1, but narrowly missed the victory by ½ a length to Tictac Diamond.
Breaking from trap 4, this race will give the T. Simmons trained runner a chance to show his true potential on the track. He has the ability to claim the victory, provided luck favours him, and he brings a little something extra to the table.
Tictac Diamond will not easily falter and will race with all his might today.
Entering the race with odds of 3 to 1 from trap 6, the son of Kiowa Sweet Trey, out of Ardaghs Jodie, will give it his all.
The T. Jameson trained hound lost by a marginal difference of a head to Corleones Dondon in the Grade OR Caffreys Sprint Trophy at Nottingham on 20th February, 2012.
He finished last in the Grade OR The Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy at Nottingham on 27th February, 2012.
He completed the 305 metre track in 18.41 seconds against the winner, Dynamo Joe’s time of 17.78 seconds.
It looks like Minglers Jaguar has better odds of winning, but scoring a victory will not be easy against this line-up.
Tictac Diamond will be looking to repeat his most recent performance to succeed over Minglers Jaguar.
