Minglers Link to steal the Mulvaney Bookmakers Open 525 Semi-Final
Six potential winners of the €50 prize money have made it to the semi-final of the Mulvaney Bookmakers Open 525. The OR event will be staged at Shelbourne Park on Saturday, 22nd September. Majority of the entries have tonight as their open race debut because their previous races range from Grade A2 to A6.
The pair who did try their luck at the level which they will get exposed to yet again tonight, failed dreadfully, ending fifth or sixth.
One of the most commendable entries for the semi-final is the two-year-old black b***h, Minglers Link. The lightly raced hound has been active only four times during the career that took off just this season.
Ballymac Maeve’s daughter won the Grade A6 Derby Transport Package 25 A6 525 Semi-Final on 29th August, 2012 at Shelbourne Park.
Setting into an early pace, and then maintaining the lead until the wire settled the race in 29.21 seconds while winning by the margin of just half-length.
Finishing right after the winner was, Hanover Lass.
The Moore trained then displayed her consistent composure by bagging the €400 prize money of the Grade A6 Derby Transport Package 25 A6 525 Final on 5th September, 2012 at Shelbourne Park.
For a straight second time the two-year-old out of, Minglers Impact, broke from the fifth trap. She was fast to draw clear from the rest of the competition, and made it to the other end of the wire in 29.27 seconds.
Despite trying to maintain a bench mark of performance, the black b***h dropped down to the third position just when it was time for her to strike the hat-trick at Shelbourne Park.
The race was won by, Razldazl Panda, in 28.79 seconds and had the favourite entry, Laughil George, settling into the second slot.
This time Minglers Link shot out from the third trap rather than the usual fifth.
The 7 to 4 entry has drawn the first gate to break from today.
The rest of the line-up includes Courtlough Rio, The Other Sky, Olympic Queen, Branstown Rex and Scot Abbey.
Formulating a technique for being the first one through the wire after leashing out of the first box will make the trip smooth.
