Mingun Bell in form to improve his rankings through the Racing Post Form With Totepool Mobile Handicap
The one to look out for in the Class 4 Racing Post Form With Totepool Mobile Handicap is the five-year-old bay gelding, Mingun Bell. Southwell will host the race over seven furlongs on 17th July as the £4,075 prize money will be contested by eight four-year and above runners.
Last two races of Mingun’s five-year-old bay gelding culminated into second scores which indicates his consistency and the promise of performing better in the future. The American bay gelding has raced thrice ever since the season took off.
Foaled by Miss Tippins in 2007, the bay gelding ended fourth in the seasonal debut on 8th May, 2012 in the Yorkshire-Outdoors.Co.UK Handicap at Catterick over seven furlongs.
The race was won by Green Howard.
The next two races of the season got him finishing second. He qualified as the runner-up in the Freebets.Co.UK Handicap on 30th May, 2012 at Folkestone over seven furlongs. The favourite entry of the race, Escape To Glory, won by the margin of 1 ½ lengths.
Riding with jockey, Liam Keniry, the five-year-old took off from the eighth stall and then became prominent when there remained three more furlongs to conquer over.
Mingun Bell did not let go off the enthusiasm even after the winner had crossed the wire and kept on gamely.
Coming at terms with the third position was, Legal Legacy.
The next race could not see the improvement in the ranking but there was for sure a remarkable difference by the margin with which he had to forgo the chance.
The Ed de Giles trained finished next to best in the Market Cross Jewellers Handicap on 25th June, 2012 at Thirsk over seven furlongs.
Taking away the title and escaping defeat by a narrow nose’s difference was the favourite entry, Ingleby Exceed.
He tracked the leaders initially and then with two more furlongs underway, he led almost shoulder to shoulder to the winner.
Reserving the third position behind the winner was, Glenridding.
Liam Keniry will take the reins in hand and will race his mount from the seventh gate. It is high time for him to grace the record with a success.
