Mini Cooper 09 order from factory?

I ordered mini cooper '09 model last wednesday, which is august 27th.

I know it varies between each cases, but how long it took for your mini cooper?

Dealer said it will take 8 to 10 weeks but is there anyone took longer or shorter than 8 to 10 weeks?

Man it can take AGES for one to show up or it happens quickly.  It all depends on weather and how many lots it had to be driven around to.  Usually factory ordered cars have anywhere from 60 to 220 miles on them when you get it.  SO don't get all upset when you see the miles.  The people who have to move them are not getting their jolly's in it or taking it for a spin for fun..

I ordered mine on June 02 and it was here on July 16th, so roughly 6 weeks.  8-10 weeks is probably about right considering that demand is much higher on these cars and supply is limited. The ride across the Atlantic is much longer than build time. When I took delivery of my car it only had 3-4 miles on it!  It had only 802 miles on it. 1200 miles is required for break in.  You cannot rev it up past 4000 rpms or go past 100 miles an hour.  I am anxious to take mine on a long trip. I have achieved 33.2 mpg combined driving and that is on the second tank. I have only filled it up twice since owning it. I have the 6 speed automatic. Once the car breaks in, fuel economy will improve. One thing I like is that you are not required to run premium, although it is preferred. I am not sure if that is true for the S, but at least for the regular one. I hope you get your car sooner than expected and enjoy it. I think you made a wise purchase.

8 to 10 weeks is about right. Maybe sooner if you're on the East coast. Longer if your on the West coast where the car is processed at the CA vehicle processing center.

With the whole fuel crisis, they've sold more cars  than ever and there's almost nothing in dealer inventory. Trust me, they want to get  you the car ASAP too as nobody gets pair until they sell it to you!

They have to make it, test it, ship it, and deliver it.  It's not a very quick process.  That estimate is completely accurate.

if u ordered it a week ago, expect to get it by november-december.

due to the high demand of fuel saving, premium sporty cars, You now have to wait in line for a Mini.
