Mini Cooper or the new Smart Car?

I want to buy a new car and these are catching my eye - but I can't decide!!

been around alot of coopers if you not to concern about a little less gas mileage the coppers are great ,they are small but they like the gas for the size to.And if you look a the turbo models they are right hard on gas but very fast but they are very easy to work on to.These smart cars yea they are the going thing but god hold your pocket book if the thing breaks it is very expensive to work on those suppose smart cars and the hybrids are the same

Mini is definitely the way to go. I have a mini cooper s and it is awesome. Gas mileage is at an average of 28mpg (mostly city, but is as high as 35 highway) with over 175hp and 177 lb-ft torque. It's handling is referred to as "go-cart handling"--which is probably an understatement. You can also get a regular cooper, but when I went to the mini dealer the s was actually cheaper (gas prices?). Mini cooper s run about $23,000-$26,000 depending on the options and can run up even more if you add john cooper works, wheels, etc. The Smart cars are only about $15,000. However, the Smart car is actually sold out through the end of the year with 30,000 reservations (see source). Hope that helps.

That's easy, the Mini Cooper.  Read the current issue of Consumer Reports where they bash the Smart Car.   One drive of each and your decision will be crystal clear.
