  1. I like Mini Horses..........I think you need a big yard !!!    hahah now explode!!!!

  2. well for mini horses you are supposed to have one acre per horse. i have a big horse that has to have two so i think a mini horse needs about one but the bigger the better but one is plenty.

  3. The law will vary from city to city. One city might allow them while another will not. You will need to call your city's Code Enforcement office, usually located within City Hall, and ask them what the rules are pertaining to owning a miniature horse within city limits. My guess is they will not allow it unless you're in a very rural area, but you might get lucky.

If they DO allow it, expect a lot of rules regarding the distance of it's pen from other buildings. Where I live, the enclosure's fence must be a minimum of 50 feet from the neighbor's property line, and a minimum of 100 feet from any residential dwelling. Basically they fixed it so there's no back yard in city limits large enough to allow anything but a dog or cat.

  4. i live in Ct and you need a minimum of 4 acres to won a hoofed animal.  It may also vary per town but thats what it is for the state.
