  1. I have raised rabbits for a long time and I have a few ideas for you.  The first thing is is she possibly pregnant?  That's a common sympton before and during labor.  Gestation is 30 days, so think if she could have mated one month ago.  Second is poisoning or eating plastic or something.  Need to see a vet on that one pretty quick.  Rabbits have very fussy guts, and if there is a problem it could kill her.  Otherwise she could be overheated.  Mini-rexes will be overheated in 80+ weather or high humidity.  Give her a bag of ice cubes to lay next to if that's the case.  Finally, Rabbits often get cancer or heart disease.  Hope at least some of that helps.  I'd see a vet if it's the same in the morning.  Hope she's pregnant.  That one is pretty easy to deal with.

  2. smoke-fumes-smells

our rabbit does it all the time-when she gets her blanket she stops.

i think its their way of tellin u they want something cozy or somethin stinks

  3. He could be hot, or it could be he ate too much.

  4. Well I didn't have a mini-rex, but I had a rex. how old is he?

Here are my possible outcomes that I think might be wrong

NOTE: RABBITS BREATHE FAST!!! SO DON"T GET TOO WORKED UP OVER IT IF NOTHING APPLIES. ONLY TAKE ACTION HE ACTS DIFFERENTLY.

    1) Is he in a hot area? If he his he may be over heated.

♥Take him into a cooler place ASAP and get him cold water

♥If he is still brething heavy in a few days see a vet, actualy wait until Sunday then call Monday if needed

    2) Is he stressed out, like is there a new pet or a move or guests over? Then he may feel stressed. Did you just move his cage or start cleaning more then usual or doing something you dont normally do? Then he might be stressed.

♥Try calming him by buying him a treat or something he likes

♥If you have a new pet or new family member, then keep them away from him if possible.

♥Try calming him down by either petting him or scratching behind his ears, whatever you know he likes. Maybe give him a salad

    3) Are you stressed? He may be picking up on your signals. See above for tips

♥Here are the two most possible reasons♥

    1) He may be dehydrated. Check his water, did he drink alot of it?

    If he hasn't been...

♥Try to get him to drink

    Is he a baby?

♥Show him how to use a water bottle if he never has before

ALSO try putting a small dish of water in his cage for him to drink. To see if he's dehydrated, grab the scruff of his neck and release it (pull up first). If he is, then the scruff will sag down. If it sags alot, keep a close eye on him and call the vet ASAP. If it only sags a lil, then do what I wrote above. In anycase those may help.

2)He may be very sick. Do what I said above for dehydration and call the vet ASAP if his skin dosent sag and everything else dosent apply to him. That's what happend to my rex and unfortunetly my mommy wouldn't take him until the day before he died.

Good luck, and please do not hesitate to email me, I'll repost an edit if I think of anything else

    ♥Peace♥
