what can happen if a minicab driver got caught picking up a customer but not an office job but the customer is a cid and the driver got a date to go to magistry court what the worst that can happen.

  3. you can lose your minicab licence because you do not have a hackney licence which enables you to pick up customers from the side of the road.

    as a minicab driver, you should know that you can only pick up customers that have booked through your office.

    it states this clearly in yourapplication to become a minicab driver

    if you are driving on a three month interim licence, you may possibly argue that you didnt know but if you have the full licence then you are probably going to lose it my friend.

  4. Private hire cars are not allowed to pick up

    passengers that have not booked through

    the private hire company.Taxis who can be

    hailed down have to pay many thousands of

    pounds for this privilege to the council, private

    hire cabs do not.

    In consequence any one caught picking customers,

    up with out prier booking,will lose there private hire

    badge thus there job too.
