Minimum Length of a open garage in Australia ?

Cant find by BCA but need the minimum size for a garage, it is an open one so there will be no closing but obviously need to cover the car. I think 6 is the standard but 5 or 5 and a half would be great if possible, the smaller the better

A builder can make your carport to any size that you would like. If you only have a small car than 5m may be long enough to keep it "out of the weather".

The only problem may be with the local council, who have all sorts of different rules about street frontages, detached buildings, etc.
