I'm 14 and British. In the UK the driving age is 18. I am going to meet my family in Nevada next year, in the summer holidays, would it be possible if I could start learning driving at 15 and possibly obtain the driving license at 15 during my 4/5 week stay, would it be a International Driving License?

In the UK you can start learning to drive at 17 and take the test but drive at 18. Would it be possible to do that like here in the states?

  1. in most U.S states you can get a permit at 15 1/2, and license at 16

i think im some streets, where its just flat land, and nothing really there, you can get it at 14, or 15

  2. You might not be able to get a license, but you could learn to drive. If there's any private property around that isn't used in, say, the evening or morning, or there are some large parking lots not being used, it's legal for someone to teach you there.

  3. the International Driving License is just a multi-lingual translation of your current license to make international travel less of a hassle. in the US, you can get a driving permit at 15.5, and a full license at 16, but i believe you need to be a permanent resident for a certain length of time
