If an airplane has to circle around an airport, waiting to land... what is the minimum speed a 747 has to do before it falls?

  1. Before it falls? That would be a plane's stall speed. I'm pretty sure the stall speed of a B 747-400 is less than 140 mph. On approach and holding patterns, planes usually stay at around 170-190 knots (depending on the plane). As the plane's wheels touch the ground for landing, it has slowed to 140-155 knots. Again, it all depends on the plane.

  2. 200-400 miles per hour
