Minnesota Timberwolves trounced Los Angeles Clippers 113-111
A huge crowd of 12,909 fans witnessed the incredible moment, that was Michael Beasley lift his team with his precious 33 points over Clippers at Target Center, Minneapolis.
In addition, he hit the winning jumper with 2.3 seconds to play to haul the Minnesota to a 113-111 win over the Clippers. It is Wolves second successive home win while extending the Clippers to 0-6 on the road this season.
High up Players
Beside Beasley’s highest points at the Wolves end, four other players scored points in double digits. 24 points, 4 assists and 14 rebounds were contributed by Kelvin Love, who nearly blew another big lead in the fourth quarter. Corey Brewer chipped in with
a very handy 14 points.
At the Clipper’s end, Eric Gordon scored the highest 30 points for the team packed by 7 assists and 3 rebounds. Blake Griffin followed him with 26 points 2 assists and 17 rebounds. Al - Farouq Aminu scored 17 points.
Game Story
The game was a very interesting and thrilling one. It was a tie until the first half of the play. By the end of the third quarter of the game, Wolves took the lead by 3 points. Minnesota trailed by five early in the third quarter when Beasley gave the team
a spirited pep talk coming out of a break. He quickly hit a 20-footer and a 3-pointer and Love added a 3-pointer to give Minnesota a 73-70 lead.
By the start of the fourth session, Wolves were leading by 3 points and by the end of the session the clippers were smashed by 2 points lead.
In the fourth quarter, Beasley had 26 points with the help of a  3-pointer, making him the first Timberwolves player since Kevin Garnett had 25 points in five straight games, more than 10 years ago.
Turning Point of the Game
Although Beasley's game-winner with 2.3 seconds left was the eye catching point of the game, the real turning point was on the Clippers possession prior to that. On that critical tenure, Kevin Love took charge over Al-Farouq Aminu, turning the ball back
over to Minnesota for their final possession.
Quotable
Beasley on if he was surprised the Clippers didn't come with a double team on that final possession, said "I'm not Kobe Bryant or Dwyane Wade so no, not at all".
Extraordinary Performance
Over the last five games, Beasley is averaging 32.6 points while shooting 55.6 percent.
Inactive Players of Clippers
Baron Davis was absent in the game due to a knee injury. He will be out until at least Thanksgiving due to his knee injury. Davis has played in just four games for the Clippers this year. He played in just 10 minutes in his last game and was quoted as saying
he regretted that decision the next day.
Chris Kaman remained inactive after he rolled his left ankle in the first quarter of a 101-82 shellacking by the New Orleans Hornets.

Timberwolves Point Guard, Jonny Flynn’s return remains something of a mystery as he was expected to be in the game but he remained inactive during the game.
