Minnesota Twins Trade Rumor?

Michael Cuddyer and Livan Hernandez to the Colorado Rockies for 3rd Baseman Garrett Atkins? What do you think?

This would be a great trade for the Twins, seeing as how they desperately need a 3rd Baseman. The Twins couls put Denard Span in RF, and call up Francisco Liriano to take Hernandez's spot in the Rotation. Do you think the Rockies will approve this trade? Why or why not?

I think this would be a steal for the Twins because Garret Atkins hits for average and power....Michael Cuddyer is good and Lican Hernandez is gettin up there in age but he still performs fairly well  So its not that bad of a trade for the Rockies...If i were the rockies i wouldnt except it becasue Garret Atkins is such a good power hitter in that 5th spot.

but where have u heard this rumor   I havnt heard anything about it

I think the Rockies would need more to make that deal, they're not turnip farmers out there.

Not a good idea at all! The only place Cuddy better be going is back to the field after he's healed. The only reason they even talked about possibly trading him is because they don't want to spend the money it's gonna take to keep him.

I think the Twins need to keep Brian Buscher at 3rd base. He's playing very well. Denard Span is also playing very well but I don't think they should get rid of anybody except Boof Bonser. They should have gotten rid of Boof before they even thought about getting rid of Rincon. If they got rid of Boof maybe they could send Livan to the bullpen and call up Liriano or something. We need Liriano back, he's doing awesome in Triple A! I like Livan right where he's at though too, so I don't know. It's all a mess and I can't wait for the whole trade issue to be over with. I'm not excited to find out who they end up trading (especially if it's gonna be Cuddy). If they called up Liriano, would that make Blackburn trade-bait? That wouldn't be good either.

Honestly, I don't think Livan is going anywhere.  Livan is doing exactly what the Twins wanted him to do when they signed him for $5 million back in Feb.

I don't think there is a whole lot that the Twins can do to make much of a difference. They should have tried for Casey Blake. Adrian Beltre is too expensive. Ugh. I don't know. =[

Uhhh errr Cuddyer shows Brightness at random spots he can hit pretty well and Livan is a just below Average Pitcher and Atkins is a good all around power hitter...almost like a Justin Morneau clone...I would say 50/50 on this...but hey Colorado needs alot of help now...so I would yes there is a huge chance for this....and it would really Help Minnesota out of the troubled Liriano spot...but the problem is...if Liriano sucks..who will take his place?..I think we should hurry and test him first in Livan's spot before the trade is needed..another thing it helps is the Division race so in a way as a Twins fan and this does happen lets hope the best

I doubt this trade will happen.  But if the retarded Pirates give away Marte and Nady for a baseball bat, then I guess anything is possible.

I really think it would be a horrible trade for the Rockies, Livan in Cuban years is who the h**l knows how old really (33 could be 53).  Cuddyer is also older than Atkins.  Who the h**l trades youth away for old average and below average players that both make more money than the kid.

I really doubt this trade is going to happen.

Rockies would want a second tier prospect too.  Atkins is pretty good and Livan/Cuddyer are falling fast.

Sorry there would have to be someone else going to the Rockies for them to even consider that trade. None of the two players going to the Rockies in Cuddyer and Hernandez  come close to the production Garrett Atkins has done the past few years. Sorry won't happen.
