Minnesota Twins look forward towards rotation improvement – MLB News
The Minnesota Twins are likely to change its roster rotation in order to improve further in the 2012 Major League Baseball season. The Twins management is currently busy preparing a viable plan for its entire roster to have a better beginning next season.
Like last season, the Twins are again very passionate towards bringing a positive change for its team. Though, last season was did not prove wonderful for them but what they certainly achieved was a united team that defeated many giants of the game down
the stretch in the regular season.
Defeating those teams was not enough for the Twins as they could not qualify into the next level. On the other hand, as the 2012 MLB season is approaching, the Twins do not want to repeat all those mistakes which caused them bitterly last season.
They have finally decided to rotate its 40-man roster into the direction of making them more productive whenever the next will start. Earlier, the Twins general manager, Terry Ryan said in the media explaining little details about the rotation improvement.
Ryan said, “We feel better about some of the things we've got here, I don't want to eliminate Duensing from that rotation, if someone doesn't come in ready to go and they are a little ouchy, then you have to consider Duensing and [Anthony] Swarzak and some
of the other guys I mentioned. Baker and Blackburn both look like they are going to be healthy. If they are all healthy, then it certainly fortifies our bullpen to some extent.”
Ryan put more emphasis on Scott Baker, Nick Blackburn, and Francisco Liriano to be healthy soon as these three are suffering from different injuries and certainly are role players in the Twins franchise.
Although, the Twins management has brought into the roster a new potential player, Jason Marquis for one year, but they still need three particular players on different positions to compete well in the next season.
According to baseball experts, the Twins must add a good catcher along with a second and third baseman to be more viable in the next season where every team would be coming with full preparation.
