  1. The Minneapolis paper and ESPN said that Minny is out of the running for Beltre. It would be nice to get a big right handed thirdbaseman that can hit lefties. Or a reliable set-up man since Neshek is out for the season.

If anyone is dealt, I think it would be Livan Hernandez to make room for Liriano in the rotation. Also, we now have a lot of great outfielders on the roster that could get traded. In my opinion Cuddyer, Monroe, and Kubel would be the first to go. Probably Cuddyer because he is owed the most money.  If we kept starting Young, Gomez, Spann in the outfield, that is a great young group to go with the M & M boys (Mauer & Morneau).

  2. I think they're going to deal Francisco Liriano. Thats really the only explanation I have for them not bringing him back to the majors from their Triple A affiliate.

  3. At the end of the season, for the most part it will be quiet I think.  most of their main players are locked up so if they do anything they will trade prospects to try to get a power hitting 3B/SS.  Though it will be hard to come by and knowing the twins they will probably sign a "lesser" player and hope they breakout.   Which may not come via trade but just free agency.

Livan Hernandez is the only guy that might get traded but I think he only had a 1 year deal so would be gone at season's end anyway.

  4. I think they will trade some of their minor league prospects.

  5. They are rumored to be interested in a third baseman. Possibly Adrian Beltre from the Mariners. They would probably trade part of their surplus of young pitching in the minors.
