Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin returns for final day of minicamp - NFL News
Just a few days ago Minnesota Vikings wide receiver, Percy Harvin, said that he was unhappy with the franchise without specifying any reason for his frustrations.
Harvin submitted a trade request with the Vikings and missed practice on Wednesday and it seemed that the receiver had made up his mind about leaving Minnesota.
However, all that changed on Thursday when Harvin returned for the last day of the Vikings minicamp laughing and having fun with his teammates.
It seems that his problems with the Vikings have been put on hold for now although Harvin refused to talk with the media after practice.
He went on Twitter later in the day and posted.
“I'm really clueless on the crazy reports...had great prac today ....to all my real fans and real vikes fans see u at Mankato..salute”
Head coach, Leslie Frazier, though was pleased to see his best receiver back in practice again and said.
"It's a new day today. The fact that he was engaged and working to help us win, that's where my focus is. Just glad that he was participating in what we're doing. You move forward."
It will come as a relief for Frazier to see Harvin back in practice since his announcement that he was unhappy with the Vikings took fans, coaches and players by surprise.
The wide receiver has although rejected reports that his problems have something to do with money it is still not clear what specific thing is bothering him.
Vikings general manager, Rick Spielman, has so far refused to even consider a trade for Harvin who has two years still remaining on his rookie contract.
From his response on Twitter it seems likely that Harvin will show up for the Vikings training camp which starts on July 26 in Mankato.
Frazier also added.
"He leaves going home feeling confident that things are moving in the right direction. We feel confident things are moving in the right direction. So that was really good to see."
The Vikings ended up with a poor 3-13 record last season and if they wish to improve from that performance in 2012-13 they need Harvin at his very best.
