Head coach of Minnesota Wild’s, Mike Yeo is very excited and looking forward to a season in which he would be having Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, two of the most promising stars of National Hockey League (NHL). Mike Yeo is lucky to have these two highly rated players suddenly out of nowhere, which makes his side much more balanced now.
It was announced on Monday, at the Xcel Energy Center that Zach Parise and Ryan Suter would be playing for Minnesota Wild next season as both of them have signed contracts worth $98 million for 13 years. The pair surely has a lot to offer for Minnesota Wild and will serve them for a long time as they both are 27 years old, which is considered a very young age in the sport of ice hockey.
Minnesota had a good start to the last season and they were leading the NorthWest Division until December back in 2011. Few of their players like their captain Mikko Koivu, right winger Devin Setoguchi, Canadian duo of left winger Pierre-Marc Bouchard and left winger Guillaume Latendresse got injuries which brought some of the players into roles which exactly were not theirs as they did not have best of the replacements, which made them finish as low as 12th in the Western Conference.
But now having gotten Zach Parise and Ryan Suter it will take a lot of load off Mike Yeo as he has much better options now and two of the most wanted players in the NHL. Zach Parise’s stats suggest that has played 502 games until now since he began his hockey career in 2000-2001 season, scoring 194 goals, putting up 216 assists and total number of 410 points.
On the other hand, Ryan Suter, who is a defenseman that has played 40 games more than Parise as he started his career in the same year as the former New Jersey Devils captin. In 542 games he has played he has got 38 goals, 200 assists earning him 238 points.
Their coach is excited, their fans are excited and excitement was also shown by the pair of Zach Parise and Ryan Suter during their press conference wearing the Minnesota jersey, both having Assistant Captain “A” on the jersey’s left.
