Minolta X-300s film loading problem

Hi,

This camera was in storage for 2-3 years and when I tried to load film to it it refused to do it. The shutter also does not work. Batteries are brand new.
I noticed thta you gave a fix for the shutter but would the same solution solve the film loading problem?
