  2. You can just plug in "SRT101 camera manual" into Google and several sites will come up.  You can download it for free from a site that has the name "butkus" in it, but I would suggest that you main the man a dollar or so.

  3. Hi Blondie.

That is an old (30 years) camera. You open it by pulling up the rewind k**b, it on the left side top as you are looking at the back of the camera. It sometimes sticks. Odds are the black rubber parts that are the seals are decaying and the back won't pop open easily. Also the black rubber that acts as the cushion for the mirror is probably bad & sticky. Also the battery is probably bad & the meter won't work. It uses 35mm film, it is too hard to explain via Yahoo how to use it. Go to the website www.freestylephoto.biz. They have online explanations how to use a 35 mm camera.

  4. First, either find the Owner's Manual or buy one on line. I recommend Craig's for the original Owner's Manual (http://www.craigcamera.com).

Another good resource is "How To Select & Use Minolta SLR Cameras" by Carl Shipman. Although it doesn't cover the SRT-101 it does feature the SRT-201 which is very similar.

You'll need a WEIN MRB625 battery for the meter.

If the light seals and mirror bumper need replacing, I suggest Garry's Camera Repair (http://www.garryscamera.com). He charges $40.00 + $8.00 shipping and will return your camera in excellent condition within 2 weeks of receiving it.
