  1. Friar John represents the voice of wisdom and caution.  He tries to give sound advice to both Romeo and Juliet, and then later even tries to assist them in their plans to run away together.  Rosalina is at first Romeo's 'true love', and represents temptations that we cannot have (she vowed to remain chaste her whole life).  Later, though, Romeo quickly changes his affections, forgetting completely about her.  This shows his impulsiveness.  The apothecary contributes to the plot by being the actual means by which Romeo commits suicide.  All the other things may lead up to it, but in the end, it was the apothecary's illegal poison which killed Romeo, and thus Juliet.  The servants serve mostly as comic relief amidst the tragic plot of the story.  Hope this helps!
