Minor League Terry Doyle pitching with poise in Arizona Fall League – MLB Update
The Chicago White Sox affiliates in the Minor League the Mesa Solar Sox are playing quite confidently in the Arizona Fall League (AFL). Many people are talking about Solar Sox and their recent good performances during the competition but one particular player
is receiving much of the appreciation.
Terry Doyle’s fast working approach towards his tremendous pitching and the goal of retiring with several groundouts via seven pitches, striking-out the other team’s 15 to 20 hitters in very few games so far making him an emerging superstar pitcher.
His most recent performances has won him the AFL Pitcher of the Week when he posted 3-0 record with a 1.08 ERA in four starts and allowed only four hits, three walks in just over 16 innings.
During a recent phone interview, Doyle was very excited about the level of consistency he is having especially in AFL.
He said, “There are a lot worse people to be compared to; He's a guy I look up to in our organization. His velocity is not 95 and neither is mine. That's what our coaches preach: Get on the mound, attack the hitters and throw strikes.”
Doyle’s recent good performances with the Solar Sox inspired many to say he possesses the same brilliant pitching abilities as the White Sox veteran and well-known left-hander Mark Buehrle. Mark, who has been playing for the White Sox since 2000, has earned
great acknowledgement throughout all those years.
Listening to all these comparisons with a Major League star, Doyle did not say anything that showed he is being overrated by these people. Doyle on the other hand, looked very confident and stated he is working extremely hard to make into Major League Baseball
(MLB) and the ultimate goal of his to achieve this type of recognition also in the biggest baseball league in the world.
It will be interesting to see if Doyle is selected for Spring Training by the Chicago White Sox. His tremendous performance in the Minor League has made many experts take notice and the possibility of him getting an opportunity in the Major League is look
pretty good.
