Minor children as beneficiary?

I am a widow with one daughter. She is my beneficiary. After I die, she gets everything. If she should die before her husband I would like my two grandchildren to inherit what is left of my estate, not my son in law. Is this possible??

  1. I think you could set up a trust that would only be available to your daughter and her children, but you would need to get a lawyer to write up your will for sure.

  2. Yes, you need to make a will stating this is your wish.

  3. Contact a Financial Adviser. If the grandchildren are minors, a trust is the best way to administer the estate. You will need to appoint an executor/trustee.
