  1. You can harvest mint at anytime, it will not taste different if harvested at one time of day or another. To harvest the mint you would choose a good place and clip off parts of the plant with sharp scissors. Take any dead or dying leaves off before drying. Making a tea of straight mint is probably too strong, so you might want to mix it with a nice balck of green tea. A little mint goes a long way to add a lot of flavoring. You can also mix with rose petals or other leaves to make a different taste. It would probably be easier to buy an already blended mint tea like: Silver Leaf Tea Company's Refreshment Herb Tea, Chocolate Mint Tea, Evening Comfort Tea, Moroccan Mint Tea, or Peppermint Leaves Tea, which all have mint leaves and a variety of blends to create many different mint tastes.

  2. Pick the leaves when they are full and green. You can still use them after they've flowered. There's a good recipe for home grown mint tea in the source. Good luck.

  3. i think yea

  4. yeah

  5. It is best to pick herbs in the early morning, and yes it is ok to pick after flowering.

However, try to pinch back the flowers to eliminate losing too much energy from the plant, the plant will reseed otherwise.  Pinching back flowers will also make your plants fuller.
