Everton forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Mirallas-c20751, is enjoying his stay at Merseyside, and revealed that his hard work in training and co-operation from team-mates made his early days easy for him.
The Toffees claimed the services of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belgium-c2850 International from the Greek outfit, Olympiakos, for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of 6 million pounds.
So far, it has been a smooth sailing for the 24-year old at Merseyside, having already notched up 3 goals in his 7 appearances.
After making his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 debut at Villa Park in August, the striker opened his account against Leyton Orient, scoring a brace in his team’s comprehensive 5-0 win in a League Cup tie.
His first league goal for the club came on 22nd of September, during the Toffees visit to the Liberty Stadium.
Having already staked his claim in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes’ starting line-up, Mirallas attributed it to his hard work in the training sessions and the helping hand of his team-mates.
He admitted that he himself expected to start from the bench during his early days at Goodison Park, but was satisfied with what had transpired so far for him.
“It's going a lot better than I could have hoped for,” he told the club's official website.
“The settling-in period has been a lot shorter than I thought it was going to be… My team-mates are really cool with me, they have been great with me… The other big factor is that I've spent a lot more time on the field and played in more games than I thought
I might have done at first.”
The forward has just made a return to professional circuitry after recovering from a knee injury. He missed out on a good portion of the club’s pre-season activities.
Despite having impressed in the few games that he has played, Mirallas unearthed that the best was yet to come from him.
He said that he still needed to acquaint himself to the physical nature of the Premier League, and was excited about meeting the challenge.
“I knew before I signed about the physical aspect of the Premier League. I was mentally prepared for that," he added.
