Mirco Di Tora clinches Men’s 50m back-stroke title: 2011 Italian Grand Prix
The 2011 Italian Grand Prix kicked off in thrilling fashion at Viareggio, Italy, on Saturday, November 19. The session of the meet conducted Men’s 50m back-stroke final, where the golden crown was secured by GS Fiamme Oro Roma’s Mirco Di Tora.
Di Tora was up against strong contestants as he splashed hard throughout the race by producing attention grabbing turns in the pool and knocked out his rivals by beating the finishing divider in a triumphant mark of 24.46 seconds to grab the Men’s 50m back-stroke
crown.
In the meantime, Damiano Lestingi of Circolo Canottieri Aniene performed well throughout the race and earned second place honours in the respective splash by clicking the finishing blockade in a winning time of 24.57 seconds. In addition, Stefano Pizzamiglio
of GS Fiamme Oro Roma put up a great splash in front of the large audience and earned bronze title by touching the finishing barrier in a time of 24.88 seconds.
Matteo Milli of Forum Sport Centre claimed fourth place honours by thumping the finishing divider in a blot of 24.97 seconds, while Fabio Laugeni of Larus Nuoto captured fifth place in the respective race by striking the finishing blockade in a mark of 25.16
seconds. Then, the swim of Centro Sportivo Esercito’s Niccolo Beni was incredible, as Beni worked hard throughout the race and earned sixth place honours by thrashing the finishing blockade in a time of 25.50 seconds.
Meanwhile, the splash of Aurelia Nuoto’s Daniele Di Deodato was impressive, as Di Deodato went full throttle and touched the finishing barrier in a time of 25.72 seconds to secure the seventh position. Finally, Nicola Vellucci of Circolo Canottieri Aniene
settled at eighth place after he touched the finishing wall and ended his swim in a time of 26.09 seconds.
Mirco Di Tora, Damiano Lestingi and Stefano Pizzamiglio were awarded the gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, after the session’s conclusion. The 2011 Italian Grand Prix is offering a great opportunity to all swimmers to prepare themselves hard for
their futuristic meets of competitive swimming.
