Mirena IUD installation

Question

I got the Mirena IUD in last week and it hurt like CRAZY. A lot of my friends who got the Mirena say it didn't hurt them. Unfortunately, mine fell out today, so I am probably going to have to get another one inserted. Is there a possibility that my dr. didn't put it in properly? Should it have hurt that bad?

I definitly believe your dr inserted it wrong!! if you can get a secnd dr to do it. it should not hurt and should NOT just come out. whats the point in having it if your always worried its gonna fall out. See anther dr girl.

mine hurt...but it was like  VERY bad cramps hurt. it was very uncomfortable..but by the next day, it got a lot better.

It did not hurt when it was put in.
