Mirena Insertion today.. Quick Help!?

Hey im having my Mirena inserted today at 11 and i am afraid its gong to hurt..bad.. Anyone know of anyways to relieve it? I have tylenol 3s from when i had my last son (june) and some IB profuin..should i ask for some numbing stuff?? Is it going to hurt as bad since ive had children?

  1. It doesn't hurt, and once it's in you won't even feel it.  Take an ibuprofen and you should be fine


  2. IB profuin would be the best. it will help relieve the inflamation.  I would keep it on hand for a WHILE.  I cramped pretty bad for the first few weeks.
