The Hannover manager has expressed his pleasure on the win over Wolfsburg and is confident of qualifying for Europe at the end of the season.
Hannover manager, Mirko Slomka, has showed his delight after beating http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 in mid-week and is delighted on claiming seventh place in the standings. Both sides met on Wednesday, April 11, at the AWD-Arena with The Reds winning
2-0. Didier Ya Konan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mame-Biram-Diouf-c23302 scored goals for the home side.
Slomka enthused that it was a vital win in terms of European place and congratulated his side on their efficient display. He clarified that his aim is to qualify for next year’s UEFA Europa League and therefore urged his side not
to relax and try winning the remainder of their four fixtures.
While speaking to Bundesliga.de, the tactician further added: “It was an important battle today as we wanted to give the fans something to cheer for in the remaining games. Naturally we want to qualify for the Europa League again
and every game is a final from now on. We can't and won't ease off.”
On the other hand, Wolfsburg manager, Felix Magath showed his disappointment after dropping three important points at Hannover. He still was satisfied with his player’s response despite going a goal down in the first half. Magath
mused that his players never took the pressure and tried hard to equalise which was an encouraging sign from the club’s point of view.
The former Schalke boss insisted that his side is still in contention for the European berth and will fight hard until the end. “It's a good result for Hannover, but it was a good game for us. We were better in the first half,
although it suited their game plan when they went 1-0 up. It was important for us to see that we're able to compete with teams that are near the top. I'm satisfied,” Magath concluded.
Wolfsburg are currently 10th in the league standings with 40 points, level on points with Hoffenheim. Die Wolfe will next take on Augsburg while Hannover will next be in action against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hamburger-SV-c39485 on Saturday, April
