The tactician stressed that his side have a major advantage in an away goal and is confident that a win at home would lead them to the last four of the competition. He added that Hannover have been tremendous all season while playing
in front of the home fans and the team needs to put in another impressive performance.
“We have got to be more courageous. We know how strong they are and our respect for them is unaltered, but this time we want to take our chance. We know our qualities and our strengths and, if we use them all here at home, then
I think we have a chance,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, in-form striker Didier Konan is confident that his side can beat Atletico in the upcoming fixture. The striker’s goals have come in some of the most important games this season and he remains hopeful that his
goalscoring form continues.
“For me it's great to score against the top clubs, but the biggest pleasure comes when the team does well. I hope that we do well as a team tomorrow, and if I get to score a goal, then that would be a bonus,” he concluded.
Hannover 96 have been in tremendous form all season and are currently fifth on the Bundesliga standings table with 41 points from the 28 games played.
