“It's going very well. And I'm fully convinced that I'll be in top form at the European Championship. Whether or not I'll be available for Lazio again this season, I cannot say yet,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

with national team manager Joachim Low regarding the matter and there is nothing to worry about.
The former Werder Bremen player claimed that he has had experiences like these before the last two World Cups and stated that he has always returned as a better player.
“Of course match practice is important, but it would be an even greater advantage to have a fully-charged battery for the Euros. I don't think he [Low] should worry. I know from my experience, when and what is important for my
body. That was true before the World Cups in 2006 and 2010 as well,” he concluded.
