Question:

Mirror Geometry Problem in Autodesk Maya

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

I modeled one half of a human body and when try to use mirror geometry option Maya tends to combine some of the vertices together in one. I did a little research and found out that there is a tool attribute for the threshold which dictates how close vertices have to be to merge them. Turning this option down in one of the attribute editors will give you the correct result. Can anyone help me to find this tool? Appreciate your help.

  1. Ok, go to the polygon menu and select edit mesh>merge, but instead of clicking on the merge button click on the square button beside of it.  Thats the option box and from there you can alter any kind of option that that feature has.  Here you can edit the merge threshhold.  I hope this helps!
