Misbah feels India is difficult to beat in their home conditions – Cricket News Update
The Pakistani ODI captain, Misbah ul Haq, feels that the Indian side is very tough to beat on their home soil, in light of the upcoming bilateral series between the two teams, scheduled towards the end of this month in India.
Playing a bilateral series after a span of almost five years, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and India are set to face each other for 3 ODIs and 2 T20s. Looking closely at India’s current form in the Tests against England, Misbah feels the outcome of the series is not likely
to influence the challenge that the World Champions will pose for their arch rivals.
Talking to reporters during the ongoing national T20 Championship in Lahore, Misbah said, “They might have lost a Test to England recently but http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 are still a formidable team in their home conditions and difficult to beat.”
Misbah also believes that the English side will have to work really hard in order to continue with their winning streak in the series.
Pakistan will face India during the time Poms will return to their homeland for the Christmas break. Coming out of a Test series against the Englishmen, the Indian side will have a completely different strategy for the One Day and the T20 format. Facing
Pakistan after 2007-08 in a bilateral series, the home side is likely to raise the level of their game to make the series a tightly contested one.
“Regardless of outcome of their series against England, India has a very good T20 and ODI squad and trying to defeat them in their own conditions will be a challenging task. There is no question we will have to be at our best physically and mentally to overcome
India,” Misbah added.
Misbah further said, “Every player knows that if you do well against India people make you a hero and remember your innings for long time. It is always a pressure series for players.”
Last time the two sides stood against each other in a bilateral face off, India turned out victorious, bagging the 5-match ODI seris 3-2. This time around, the Men in Green are very eager to face their rivals to balance the equation.
