Misbah says no major changes in the squad for Monday’s T20 series final against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 – Cricket News Update
The Pakistan skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imtiaz-Sheikh-c64290 Zayed Cricket Stadium of Abu Dhabi.
The three-match series is currently levelled at 1-1 as England bounced, with a 38-run win at Dubai on Saturday night, after losing the series opener at the same venue last Thursday.
But Misbah does not have any plans of pressing the panic button by making a handful of changes in his squad following the 38-run defeat. He, however, was unhappy with team’s batting performance and has urged his top order to take responsibility, and provide
the side with a steady start.
"I don't think there will be many changes,” said the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq when asked about his playing XI for Monday’s series decider.
“The team did well in the last match and today you saw Hammad Azam who played really well. It is a good team provided we improve our performance as a batting unit," he added further
Chasing a target of 151 in the second T20 at Dubai, Pakistan’s batting looked completely out of sorts as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umar-Akmal-c94595 fell for 19. Rest of the line-up failed to get past 15.
Asked if the 150-run target was a tall order, Misbah said that though it was a fighting score, it was still gettable, had they batted properly.
“Our batting disappointed us once again...In Twenty20 and One day cricket or it is usually the batting that wins you the game and if your batting is not scoring even 150 runs then it is a problem," Misbah said.
The Pakistan skipper also lavished praise on England’s Jonny Bairstow for his fine knock of 60 runs of just 46 balls, which included five muscular boundaries and two lofty sixes. Misbah said that Bairstow’s valiant knock set up the game for the Poms after
they had lost the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RS-Bopara-c2373 quite early.
Meanwhile, the English captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SCJ-Broad-c2465 has said that he will treat today’s match against Pakistan as a World Cup final.
