Misbah-ul-Haq credits team spirit for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s long winning streak – Cricket News Update
Pakistan’s skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
Misbah aired these views yesterday, a day before his team’s 2nd ODI clash against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808. The two Asian teams are set to start the game at Dubai Sports Club (DSC), today, November 14. Pakistan lead the five-match series 1-0.
Since Misbah’s elevation to the captaincy, the Cornered Tigers have not lost even a single ODI match. Following their demise in the semi-final game of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011, they have lost just one Test so far, whereas, their triumph tale includes 4
Test, 6 ODIs and 2 T20 games.
In the ongoing series, Pakistan won the opening match with a huge margin of 8 wickets by demonstrating outstanding performances in both bowling and batting departments.
Today, they are going for the 2nd One Dayer with same squad and spirit. Misbah expects his boys to replicate their established form and thrive.
Talking about the team structure, the captain said, “The players we have here (in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033), all 16 that we have, we can put anybody in and that’s the beauty of our team now. Sometimes I’m disappointed to just drop some of the players because
they are all so good and they all deserve to be in the eleven, so that really is a strength for our team.”
Misbah took baton from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-Afridi-c2482 earlier this year, as the later resigned conditionally from International cricket after picking up a row with the team management. However, he is back in the ring now.
Since his International debut, which came somewhat late, Misbah has been impressive as a batsman. He has played 29 Test and 82 ODI matches so far with batting averages of 46.26 and 43.54 respectively in the two formats.
Pakistan cricket’s fans and managers have complete confidence in Misbah’s leadership skills, and they strongly believe that he has created coherence and unity in the camp.
