Pakistan’s skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has expressed his desire to take on the Indian cricket team after defeating http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 (UAE).
Since taking over as captain of the Pakistani side in all three formats of the game, Misbah has shown that he has the ability to take on any side in the world.
However, the 37-year-old wants to prove his mettle against arch rivals India, as he believes that it will be the most entertaining series for players as well as the fans.
On being questioned about playing against the Men in Blue, Misbah answered, “Of course we'd like to play against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750. It's a very important series for both players and fans. It's always good fun to play in these contests. The interest is high. I hope it
happens because, for all fans and players, it is a good occasion.”
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 is yet to lose a Test or ODI series under the leadership of Misbah and the veteran credits the talent in the country for this success.
According to the solid middle-order batsman, “We've always had talent in the side. When [Shahid] Afridi was captain, we were performing well and winning. Maybe the consistency wasn't there because some of the players were new then and didn't have that much
experience. But since then, building up experience, that brings consistency as well.”
Pakistan and India have not played a bilateral series since 2007 due to the political tensions between the two countries.
However, things have improved a lot in recent times and it is likely that both teams get a chance to go head to head once again.
Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128 had held talks with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials in order to arrange a bilateral series between the neighbouring countries in 2012.
However, nothing was finalised between both boards, but the fans were left with a hope of a possible series next year.
India might be hesitant in visiting Pakistan at the moment, but both sides can play on a neutral venue like UAE.
