Misbah ul Haq has no problems with the new Central Contract – Cricket News Update
Misbah ul Haq, Pakistan’s Test and ODI skipper, is happy with the increased salaries in the new Central Contracts given to players by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and also hopes that Indo-Pak cricketing ties will resume soon.
The 38-year-old is considered to be one of the most successful captains in the history of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Hafeez-c76898 as the T20 skipper.
Pakistan and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 have not played any bilateral series since 2007-08 and the fans have been deprived of intense matches between the neighbouring countries. However, the situation seems to be improving now as both the cricket boards are in talks with each
other and it is most likely that the two teams will play a short series this year.
On top of that, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sialkot-c842 Stallions will take part in the Champions League T20 2012, which will be held in India later this year.
Misbah has welcomed this move and hopes that Indo-Pak cricket will be revived shortly as it can bring people of both the countries closer.
“It is very important that we have a quick revival of Indo-Pak cricket, because fans desperately want to see both countries play,” Pakistan’s captain said.
Since the last week, there have been rumours in the Pakistani media that the players, especially Misbah, are not happy with the Central Contracts offered by PCB.
However, the veteran cricketer has dismissed all such news and expressed that he is happy with the raise given in the salaries by the board, despite the fact that PCB has been going through a financial crunch because no international cricket is being played
in the country.
Misbah expressed, “I think it must be welcomed as the PCB is not earning much because of no international cricket in the country. Pakistan cricket is improving and such reports to create controversies are not good for us.”
Pakistani team is currently in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 and the first T20 of the series is going to be played at Hambantota today. Misbah will join the team later for the ODI and Test series, which will be played after the two T20 fixtures.
