Misbah-ul-Haq hopes UAE conditions would assist his side against England - Cricket News Update

Pakistan has recently crushed http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 in all the three formats of the game in a full series played at the neutral venues of UAE and Misbah feels it would give his side an advantage over the opposition in the forthcoming three-match Test series.
"We know the conditions in the UAE as we have played a lot of cricket there so we have become used to the venues so that will definitely be an advantage for us," said Misbah speaking to media reporters after the conclusion of the four-day training session
held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Talking about the wickets at different UAE venues, the 37-year-old middle order batsman said that they are quite slow and it would be a challenge for both the sides to score big runs and claim 20 wickets in a match.
While England has already arrived in Dubai and are currently playing a three-day practice match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Combination XI, Pakistani cricket team will by flying on Monday, January 9, 2012.
Before going into the opening Test on January 17, England will also play a warm up game against the Pakistan Cricket Board XI, starting on Friday, January 13.
This will be the first time Pakistan will face England since the spot-fixing marred tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 in 2010 and both the teams are expecting good cricket without any controversy or blame games.
Misbah took over as Pakistan's Test skipper in October 2010 and has so far led the side in eight Test series winning five of them while the other three were drawn. He also led the side remarkably in the limited over format of the game and has not lost a

Despite a victorious record, Misbah has often been criticised for his defensive captaincy tactics, but the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 skipper is not bothered by such criticism.
"It is better to win by playing defensively, instead of losing by playing aggressively. It's all about the situation; what you are required to do or not do," said the Test veteran when asked about his defensive approach.
Besides three-match Test series, Pakistan are also scheduled to play four One Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals against England.
