level of confidence in the players.
Pakistan cricket looked in immense trouble last year when they lost three of their top players because of the spot-fixing controversy. However, it is quite amazing that the Green Shirts have done tremendously since then. Pakistan won Test series’ against
New Zealand, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka and drew against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 and West Indies.
In limited overs cricket, Pakistan reached the semi-finals of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
Azhar feels that the credit must be given to Misbah and the team management for the gelling the unit together. He believes that the best part about Misbah’s captaincy is that he believes in the ability of his players and this is the reason why players have
started to deliver the goods.
The right handed batsman said, "Misbah (ul Haq) deserves a lot of credit for our recent good form. He really gives all the boys a lot of confidence and helps everyone. He's an excellent leader on and off the pitch. Mohsin (Khan), the other coaches and the
support staff also deserve praise for their hard work with all of us.”
In Azhar’s opinion, the most encouraging thing in the Pakistan team at the present moment is the unity as all the senior and junior players are backing each other and helping the ones who are struggling with form. When players start to enjoy the success
of each other, the team automatically does well as a result.
“One of the things that I am really enjoying in the squad is the camaraderie, if someone makes a mistake then everyone else is there to back them up and support them", said Azhar.
