http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 not bothered by England’s early preparations – Cricket News Update
Pakistani team's skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq, feels that England’s early preparations will not make a difference when both the teams meet at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 (UAE) next year.
The competition is scheduled for three Tests, four One Day Internationals (ODIs) and a couple of Twenty20 Internationals, taking off with the opening Test at Dubai, on January 17, 2011.
Following their recent, comprehensive 4-0 win against India, the Englishmen are currently at the top of ICC's Test rankings.
However, despite their fantastic run in the longest version of the game, England’s recent stats in the 50-over format are not impressive by any means.
After suffering a shameful 5-0 loss on the recent tour to India, the English cricket management is keen to avoid similar embarrassment in the future.
Hence, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has decided to send their players to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, to get themselves ready for the crucial clash against the Men in Green.
When Misbah was asked about England’s strategy, he said, “It is too early to think about England because we have some tough games ahead against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 and first we have to focus on these matches. This series is very important for us".
Since the English players are eager to adapt to Sub-continent conditions better, they will participate in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 Performance Programme (EPP) camps – a programme that has enhanced team’s strength over the years.
On the other side, the Pakistan captain does not want to think about the upcoming event, saying that the team is focussing on the ongoing ODI battle against the islanders.
“The series against Sri Lanka is very important as of now, then we go to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747. We have to concentrate on that series too. We are constantly playing games and I think that is the best preparation we can have for the England series,” added the 37-year-old
batsman who has been producing excellent results as the leader of the side over the last 12 months.
Both http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and England are doing well in the traditional form of the game and thus, an exciting contest at UAE is certainly on the cards.
