The triumphant Pakistani skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq, has warned his side of complacency against the relatively low-ranked Bangladesh side in the upcoming series between the two neighbouring countries, in the latter's backyard.
Misbah-ul-Haq told the media reporters at the Abu Dhabi airport that they are going to play a full series in Bangladesh after a long time and would not take the Tigers as an easy opposition.
"It would be a big folly on our part to think we can walk over http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747,” said Misbah while talking to the media reporters before his departure from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka. “We are playing a full series in Bangladesh after a long time and I have told the players
to treat the series as a top one because there will be lot of pressure on us," he added further.
The Pakistan skipper, fresh from a successful neutral venue series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tamim-Iqbal-c2640 and spinner Abdul Razzak. The Pakistan middle-order batsman
further added that the hosts have the potential to upset any side at home.
Misbah agreed that his side will be under the pressure of carrying its good form from UAE to Bangladesh so it would be a tougher series than the one they had recently completed against Sri Lanka.
Misbah also backed the strict actions taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board and the team management to ensure a disciplined environment in the dressing room.
"After all that Pakistan cricket has been through these steps are necessary,” said the Pakistan skipper who has won eight of the nine One Day Internationals since taking over as limited-overs skipper in June earlier this year.
“ At times it is hard but it is for our best. In a way the problems and scandals that hit us since last year have only made us stronger and there is stronger bonding in the team and the desire to win consistently," he added further.
The Pakistan-Bangladesh series starts in Dhaka with a T20 International between the two outfits on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Besides the one-off T20 game, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 is scheduled to play three ODIs and two Tests as well against the Tigers during the three-week
long tour.
