Dhabi today, February 27, 2012.
Pakistan won the series opener at Dubai by eight runs before facing a 38-run defeat in the second T20 of the three-match series played at the same venue last weekend. With the series level at 1-1, both outfits are set to lock the horns for the last time,
in what is Pakistan’s home series being staged on the neutral venues of the UAE. Both the sides must be eager to sign off the tour by winning today’s T20 match at Abu Dhabi.
Speaking to media reporters ahead of the series decider, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 – who was desperate to win the match – said that they will go into the decider with a positive frame of mind.
"Our main approach will be to forget the last game and think positively,” said Misbah while speaking to Gulf News.
“We will play the game with a positive frame of mind as we want to win the match badly. I hope everyone will come with good performances in this match,” he added further.
Pakistan kicked off the tour with a thumping 3-0 Test series whitewash of England, the current world number one Test side. The Men in Green failed to maintain the wining momentum as the format changed and succumbed to 4-0 ODI series whitewash, batting being
their major let down.
Misbah commented on the batting by saying, "I think ours is a good team but our batting has not risen up to their potential.”
“We are still carrying the bad form from the One day series. In Twenty20 and One day cricket or it is usually the batting that wins you the game and if your batting is not scoring even 150 runs then it is a problem," he added further.
