Misbehaving leftists? Who would believe such a thing?

Why is it whenever leftists protest, it invariably erupts into chaos and violence? Seattle in 1999 and Chicago in 1968 spring immediately to mind. Heck, I've heard some leftists who actually WANT this to be a replay of 1968.

Unless the protestors are idiots, the violence most likely started by the police.

This happens all the time, a officer in plain clothes (often masked) instigates violence. If he does this against a member of the military (the folks in armor and helmets with machine guns), then they have permission to shut down the protest.

I know the Denver police. The mayhem they started with the last Bronco Super Bowl win was disgusting. And in my town the local police were the problem at the last peace demonstration.  So you may be only partially correct in this.

Not when they are in the wrong. I wasn't taught to blindly follow a supposed authority figure.

Leftists protest constantly. If what you were saying is true, then you would be able to enjoy the spectacle of full-blown riots every day.

I have been involved in riots before. If you have never had the good fortune to experience such a thing, let me just say: you don't know what you are missing.

One riot I was involved in began when a peaceful protest was disrupted by a couple of rules-crazy cops in Baton Rouge, LA who forgot about that whole "right to peacefully assemble" clause in the constitution and decided that they would start thwacking dirty hippies with their billy clubs. Boy were they surprised when out of the crowd of dirty hippies came a cadre of Redskins and Anarchists swinging punches and throwing kicks of their own.

Result? One cop got a broken jaw, the other got his uniform shirt torn off of his back before his buddies pulled him to safety. Five protestors were arrested but all watched the charges against them dropped when video surfaced of the cops throwing the first blows.

I love thumping fascists...it's a lot of fun.

Well, most of 'em are purty sick folks, aren't they? A couple of the inbreds "described themselves as anti-capitalists who were protesting ecological devastation." Probly flew to Denver on mommy and daddy's nickel, too. Nuff sed!
