Misbun Ramdan claims Men’s Singles crown in 2013 Slovenia International

Malaysia’s young but talented shuttler Misbun Ramdan Mohmed Misbun played impeccable badminton and claimed the crown in Men’s Singles event of Forza Slovenia International on Sunday, May 12, 2013.
He locked horns with Lucas Corvee and their 25-minute meeting lasted for just two games. The Malaysian campaigner played with an authoritative approach and sealed straight-set victory with 21-11 and 21-12 margin.
The French shuttler, who was seven seeded player of this international Series, failed to continue his unbeatable run and crashed out of the event in a disgraceful manner.
Things went out of control when Misbun Ramdan unleashed a flurry of power packed strokes and established a decent lead in the first set.
Misbun did not show mercy in the preliminary stages and strengthened his grip by ruling the court in next couple of rallies. He bagged many valuable points in a row and put his rival under huge pressure.
Lucas was not prepared for such an intensive attack as he remained grounded in most part of the first half. This passive approach resulted in a huge deficit in the score position.
After the mid-game break, the French player showed some spark and brought the contest to right balance but his supremacy was short lived.
Misbun Ramdan stormed back with a strong reply and tipped the scale in his favour. He maintained that upper hand all the way to game point situation and swept the table with an impressive result of 21-11.
With this splendid win, he started the second set of match with a psychological edge. At first, he mounted pressure by claiming many points without any interruption and then doubled the impact by piling up a mountainous figure before the interval.
At one-minute break, he was in a dominating position and this significant lead helped him to prevail in latter part of the game.
The Malaysian campaigner did not show any sign of laziness and pushed his competitor in all areas of the court.
Misbun Ramdan looked at top of his game in third quarter of the set. He bagged most out of the ending points and sealed his victory with 21-12 score.
