Malaysia’s lower ranked but talented shuttler Misbun Ramdan Mohmed Misbun played flawless badminton and thrashed Suppanyu Avihingsanon in second round of Syed Modi International India GPG on December 19, 2012.

They challenged each other in all departments of game and made this encounter a memorable contest with a nerve-racking result of 17-21, 21-19 and 21-5.
Though, the Malaysian youngster had a horrendous start but still he did not lose heart and survived this battle by winning ending two games.
On the other hand, Suppanyu had better odds to march into pre quarter-finals but he proved all the predictions wrong by putting a below par performance.
However, the Thai campaigner showed his class in the first set and claimed this valuable match point with distinction.
Suppanyu started the beating from very first stroke and played with authoritative approach until last shot was played.
He tipped the scale in his favour by establishing a decent lead in no time and maintained that dominance all the way to game point situation.
Though, Misbun strived hard to counterbalance the situation but he had to surrender after reading 17-21 score on the board.
However, the spirited Malaysian player managed to rise on his toes in very next game and stopped this contest from being a one-sided affair.
This time Misbun changed his tactics and unleashed a series of power packed strokes immediately in the beginning.
He mounted pressure by gaining an early advantage and then magnified the impact with an indomitable total of 11.
After the mid-game break, he lost focus for a short span of time but reinstated his supremacy when it mattered. He played with great control in the final stage and registered a concluding figure of 21-19.
The decider was expected to be a cliff-hanging segment as both contenders were hanging by thread to stay alive.
Unexpectedly, it proved a dead contest as Misbun Ramdan swept the table with a huge difference in 21-5 margin.
Now he will swing his arms against the compatriot shuttler Goh Soon Huat in pre quarter-final round of Syed Modi International India GPG.
