I am going through a miscarriage, I was 7 weeks 5 days pregnant. This is my second one the first I had was when I was 18 so around 7yrs ago and I don't remember exactly everything that happened. I am cramping and bleeding a lot. My doctor said I should let it happen naturally instead of a d&c which is what I did last time as well. I have passed tissue but I am still cramping and clotting. How long does this normally last? It is just a constant reminder and I am wondering how long it is going to last. I have a healthy 9 month old so he is also needing me and these cramps are horrible can I take anything for them?

  1. Everybody is different however you should not experience the symptoms for more than a week and you should not be bleeding too heavily. If you do, you should contact your doctor as a d & c might be necessary. Ibuprofen should help with the cramping. If you are not breastfeeding your doctor might prescribe you something stronger to help with the pain. Best of Luck
