I was given premetrium 200mg a day starting at 5 week. still didnt help. My doc is going to refer me to infertility specialist.I am 27 years old. Iam lil worried about my future pregnancies. anyone with similar experiences and still had healthy babies?

  1. I had two miscarraiges and am now 27 weeks pregnant.  In 2005 I miscarried around week 7 or 8.  In 2007 I miscarried at week 4 - possibly due to low progesterone.  I later went to a specialist and he put me on progesterone.  Ironically, that month I got pregnant.  The thing is, you really need to be on the progesterone BEFORE you find out your are pregnant.  Most doctors will tell you to start taking it after ovulation until you have your period.

Many women have 1 or 2 miscarriages and go on to have healthy babies.  Find a good doctor.

  2. I had a miscarriage last month and a friend of mine had one a few years ago.  Hers was due to low progesterone levels too.  Her docs put her on medication for it and she went on to have two uneventful pregnancies with two healthy little girls.

I'm so sorry for your loss!
