Hi guy's I conceived back in May but sadly I went for a scan on the 17th of July and found the baby had no heartbeat, I would of nearly been 9 weeks. I can't express how heart broken I am. I had the baby removed on the 18th of July and had bleeding that I was told should last for 10 days max but it had lasted right up to 6th of Aug then stopped and then on the 9th I had a massive rush of blood loss (sorry to much info) and then after that nothing but Little spotting and even now till this day my CM is cream in colour rather than white like it was before I conceived. Is this normal? Also how long after Miscarriage should you period come back?

  1. I am so sorry for your lost.  I recently miscarried myself natually at 6 weeks.  My bleeding only lasted about one week and straight after that I've been getting EWCM on and off.  I don't know if I could be ovulating again this quickly or just my mind/body playing tricks on me.  Anyway, we've been trying again every second day in hope to conceive again.

It's been 19 days since my bleeding stopped (from the m/c).   I haven't had my period yet and hoping I won't if I have conceived again.  But I heard that it can take between 4-6 weeks for periods to return to normal.

    Good luck!!!

    xx

  2. My story is also quite similar to yours. I conceived at the start of June, went for a scan at 9 weeks and was told it was a blighted ovum.

I had a D&C on 29th July. They said I would bleed for 10 days but I bled for more like 16 and it kept coming and going. It would seem like it was stopping and then it would suddenly be loads.

I think that as long as it has stopped, then it is ok. When I told my doctor I was still bleeding after more than 10 days he was unconcerned and said it can actualy last weeks and then lead straight into a period.

The creamy CM could just be the result of leftover pregnancy hormones in your body.

Period usually returns in 4-6 weeks. They say to see your doctor if you've not had one in 6 weeks.

  3. hiya,

i miscarried as well and it took my body 2 months to get back to normal, i then conceived again in the third month after my mc, but unfortunately miscarried again on sunday. So just give it time i guess and when your period becomes normal, you will be able to conceive again

  4. First of all, sorry for your loss. I too miscarried. I had my miscarriage mother's day weekend, and sadly haven't had af since. I was also 9 weeks. Good luck.

  5. I would call your ob because the rush of blood is kinda scary. I had a miscarriage but I didn't need a dnc so I'm not sure about all of  that.

  6. Wow your story is very similar to mine. I conceived in May, lost the baby at 9 weeks and had my D & C on July 18. We must have had very close due dates. Now, to your questions. it is a little strange that you are still experiencing bleeding a month after the fact. Are you sure you aren't experiencing a period? Did your doctor do a follow up to ensure the surgeon got all the tissue out? When I had my D & C my surgeon didn't get it all and I ended up miscarrying the rest. It was HORRIBLE. I had clots the size of baseballs for 3 days straight. If you haven't seen your doctor I would book an appointment. You may need to have an ultrasound to ensure your surgeon got all the remains. As for your period most women don't experience it for 4-6 weeks after a D & C. I am going on 5 weeks post op and my period is due in a week (I am charting my temperatures and I ovulated last Thursday). Without charting there is no way to know when you can expect your period again. If you are interested in charting to see what your body is doing you can go to www.fertilityfriend.com and they will explain it all. It's actually kind of addicting once you get used to it :) If you need support come visit us at www.weddingbells.ca in the babybells forum. There are lots of women there who have miscarried. Good luck and sorry for your loss.
