Mischa Zverev and Kenny de Schepper clear the final qualifiers – Moselle Open 2012 
Mischa Zverev breezes past Michael Berrer 6-3, 6-3
Left-hander hander German duo, Mischa Zverev and Michael Berrer encountered each other for the first time at the Moselle Open 2012 held at the hard courts of France. The world number 185, Zverev gave a straight
sets shocker, 6-3, 6-3, to his compatriot in the final qualifying round in a total of one hour and 10 minutes.
The 25-year-old, Zverev held his initial serve in the opener and smoothly progressed forward to mark a 4-2 lead by busting his rival’s serve in the sixth game. Although, Berrer struggled hard to secure his top
spot, he miserably lost the set with a 3-6 score.
Even though Zverev had a lower first serve precision of 64 percent, he secured 14 of 18 first and seven of 10 second delivery points. On the other hand, Berrer displayed 77 percent first serve accuracy, snatching
12 of 20 first delivery points.  
Berrer confidently commenced the next set but failed once again to sustain his serve. Zverev broke his serve in the fifth game and nudged forward to close the match with his 6-3 win. 
Kenny de Schepper ousts Josselin Ouanna 6-4, 7-6(5)
World number 211, Kenny de Schepper, rallied past his compatriot, Josselin Ouanna, in the final qualifying round of the Moselle Open 2012. Schepper summed up his 6-4, 7-6(5) triumph in one hour and 31 minutes.
Schepper displayed his excellent game plan and maintained his initial serve in the opener. On the other hand, Ouanna proved to be tough challenger, resulting in evening out the score line after every alternate
game. The 25-year-old Schepper very tactfully secured the last two games, concluding with a 6-4 win.
Ouanna attained 56 percent initial serve accuracy , converting 17 of 20 first and five of 16 second deliver points. His rival secured the lead with a 58 percent first serve precision, bagging away 12 of 14 first
and further eight of 10 second delivery points.
In the second set both the rival’s held their serves the entire time and raced a tough fight against each other. The score line evened out five times and eventually closed the set 7-6(5) after a tough tiebreaker
round.
Schepper smashed 14 aces and also double faulted seven times. Although he manifested a low first serve percentage of 53, he capitalized 27 of 29 points. On the other hand, Ouanna could not strike a single ace,
but had 71 percent first serve precision converting 22 of 25 points.
